Amidst a welter of protests from thousands of customers, employees and union workers, British banking major Lloyds TSB has announced its decision to close down its call centres in India but said it would continue processing and other back office operations there.Big British names which have recently turned their back on India include esure, headed by Direct Line founder Peter Wood, energy company Powergen, and the Newcastle Building Society.
